Teletruth filed on November 4th, 2002 in this open Docket --- "The Biennial Review" --- As you will read, everyone should be concerned that the FCC might rule to allow the Bells to no longer keep records of various sorts. Read the Filing. Verizon Goes After Telecom Activist, Teletruth Board Member. Dan Berninger, telephone activist was served a subpoena to discuss
all communications and work done for a competitive local phone company,
Ntegrity, who has been harmed by Verizon.Dan had created the a web
page to explain to the public how a monopoly can essentially try to
put a competitor out of business. As Dan Berninger writes:"If
Verizon had in mind using subpoena power to intimidate a critic, this
would represent an abuse of the process and a sham." Teletruth beleives that this is simply a case of harrassment by the monopoly, Verizon, trying to close down someone who is speaking truth to power.
